Time tracking and e-invoicing with Odoo at an auto body and paint shop
Key administrative processes were digitalized with Odoo to make the shop more efficient and ensure regulatory compliance in time tracking and electronic invoicing. The shop moved from a manual, Excel-based model to an integrated system that speeds up daily operations.
Challenge
Talleres Victoria wanted to modernize its internal management to keep up with its sustained growth and the complexity of working with multiple insurers. Its reliance on manual processes, especially in invoicing and time tracking, offered a clear opportunity to improve traceability, efficiency, and compliance. The shop stood out for its focus on service quality and its willingness to adopt digital tools that would bring simplicity and control.
Solution
The project took the form of an agile Odoo implementation, starting with an assessment of existing administrative processes and the definition of a more structured workflow.
The Attendances module was implemented for clock-ins and time tracking, along with Contacts, CRM, and Invoicing, and electronic invoicing through Verifactu was also enabled to meet the new regulatory requirements.
The client was supported through functional configuration, migration of basic data, and team training, to ensure adoption and continued use.
Certain technical details have been adapted or omitted to comply with NDAs and information security policies.
Results
- Full compliance with time-tracking and electronic invoicing regulations through Verifactu.
- Significantly faster administration, with an estimated 20–30% reduction in time spent on administrative tasks.
- The errors that come with Excel spreadsheets eliminated, and greater traceability across the invoicing cycle.
- A more efficient, consistent invoicing process that makes dealing with insurers easier and reduces rework.
- Greater visibility into the status of jobs and requests, thanks to the combined use of Contacts and CRM.
