Artificial intelligence training for ANEFA's professionals

Singular Beacon designed and delivered a specialized artificial intelligence course for ANEFA, combining theory with hands-on work on real use cases from the aggregates sector, to equip its professionals with an understanding of AI and how to use it strategically.

Artificial intelligence training for ANEFA's professionals

Challenge

The National Association of Aggregates Producers (ANEFA), the body representing Spain's extractive sector, faces the challenge of adapting to an increasingly digital and competitive environment. Despite its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and business excellence, the aggregates sector still shows a low level of adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

The organization identified the need to train its professionals in the understanding and strategic use of AI in order to:

  • Understand how it works and its real-world applications.
  • Dispel misconceptions about AI.
  • Spot opportunities to improve internal processes.
  • Drive efficiency and innovation in their operations.

The main goal was to provide rigorous training, tailored to the extractive sector, that would give participants practical skills they could apply to their professional challenges.

Solution

Singular Beacon designed and delivered a specialized artificial intelligence course for ANEFA's professionals, structured in two complementary parts: theory and practice.

The theory part covered the following content:

  • Fundamentals and types of AI models.
  • Real-world applications across different industrial sectors.
  • Current limitations of AI and how it is set to evolve.
  • A critical look at common myths, such as the false belief that AI reasons like a human being.

The practical part worked with real use cases put forward by the participants themselves, using AI tools adapted to the specific context of the aggregates sector. This made it possible to:

  • Apply what they had learned to specific situations.
  • Solve real day-to-day problems.
  • See the transformative potential of AI in their working environment.

The methodology combined participatory sessions, practical examples, and collaborative problem-solving, encouraging active, contextualized understanding.

Results

The training has made a valuable contribution to the skills development of ANEFA's professionals, helping them identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and drive innovation through the strategic use of artificial intelligence.
